Hole Live at the Big Day Out, Sydney Australia 23rd January 1999

  Hole played an unprecedented 60 minute set headlining the Big Day Out music festival in Sydney, Australia on the night of the 23th of January 1999, following Marilyn Manson, Korn, the usual etceteras far to numerous for Doctor Rock to remember clearly. I have placed them here for the sake of posterity and artistic integrity so you, Non-Australians, can see how it went.   I myself saw them at the much smaller gig at the Enmore Theater the next night where they were *Magnificent*, clearly much happier to be playing to an audience which had come to see just them. Permanant stand in drummer Samantha Maloney is proveing herself to be very capable and worthy I might add.   They were on stage for at least 2 hours, so it was a good value gig, better value for money than the the Tull concert I went to back in the 80's (and that was probably the last concert I had been to).
